HOTY Standings: Following several opportunities for House of the Year (HOTY) points, such as the Back-to-School Dance, “Little Shop of Horrors,” Homecoming Spirit Week and the Peanut Butter Drive, HOTY standings have been released. Currently, Therese of Lisieux is in the lead with 119 points. Next are Aloysius Gonzaga with 104 points and Peter Claver with 97 points.

Peanut Butter Drive Results: During the Peanut Butter Drive, 7,019 peanut butter jars were collected. This surpassed last year’s results of approximately 5,000 jars. Therese of Lisieux brought in the most with 1,109 jars. Peter Claver came in second with 1,107 jars. Third place went to Francis Xavier with 915 jars.

Kapaun Graphic Novel: The Association of the United States Army (AUSA) released a graphic novel about Venerable Fr. Emil Kapaun Sept. 23. Volume 7, Issue 4 of AUSA’s Medal of Honor Series details Kapaun’s story as a chaplain. The graphic novel can be found on ausa.org.

National Merit Semifinalist: Senior Nikitha Bijoy has been recognized as a National Merit Semifinalist for 2025-26. Less than one-half of 1 percent of Kansas high school seniors score high enough on the PSAT to reach this level.
