Finals: The first day of finals will be on Wednesday, Dec. 17 for blocks 1, 2 and 3. Finals on Thursday, Dec. 18 will be for blocks 5, 6 and 7. Blocks 4 and 8 finals will be on Dec. 19. Dec. 17 and 18 are noon dismissals. After finals Dec. 19, there will be an All-School Mass. Following Mass is dismissal at 11:30 a.m. for Christmas Break. School will resume for the second semester with a C day on Jan. 6.
Cash for Cans Drive: Nov. 3 through Nov. 20, KMC collected money to be donated to Our Daily Bread Food Pantry. The school goal was to raise $13,000 with $270 per CAP. The school raised a total of $7,749, coming short of last year’s collection of around $11,400. Quinton Burgess’ CAP raised the most with $630. Marcus Carillo’s CAP raised $489 and Taryn Scott’s CAP raised $471.
Volleybrawl: Volleybrawl took place Nov. 12. The winning team, consisting of Cade Becker, Gracie Bezdek, Ryan Cary, Blaise Dalian, Julie Goers and Braylon Jones, played against the faculty during extended CAP Nov. 14. The students won the game. Bezdek and Goers were on Kairos during this game; freshmen Fiona Pauly and Madison Pelfrey substituted for them.
Performances: Christmas Traditions, the annual band and choir concert, is Saturday, Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Admission is free. There will also be a children’s book drive, benefiting the Ronald McDonald House. Senior thespians will also perform one-act plays Jan. 29-31.
